About

Hello, I'm Apol Lejano-Massebieau, the girl behind 7100 Islands. In my workshop in France, where I live and work, I create bags and accessories using materials hand-crafted through traditional techniques by tribes and communities in the Philippines, where I was born.

I want for 7100 Islands, this happy place, to be a showcase of the beauty of these materials.

* T'nalak is abaca woven by the T'boli tribe of Mindanao, using the ikat process.

* Hinabol is made from hemp, and handwoven by the Higaonon community, also of Mindanao.

* Ramit is cotton made from recycled threads by the Mangyan people, tribal communities in Mindoro Island.
